My name is Shawn Pimpleton, CEO and founder of Pimpnpudding. I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, with deep Louisiana roots. Growing up, I was blessed to have both my mother and father in my life, but I still found myself making bad decisions at a young age. I got caught up in the streets, gang activity, and selling drugs, which eventually led to federal prison. I served 10 years in the federal penitentiary on drug and gun charges. While incarcerated, I experienced one of the hardest moments of my life. On February 28, 2014, I lost my father. Not being able to be there with my family during that time was devastating and remains a day I will never forget. When I came home, I made a decision to change the direction of my life. Instead of becoming a product of my past, I chose to become an example of what is possible when you refuse to give up. Today, I mentor youth, serve my community, and work as a Community Safety Ambassador with We Deliver Care. Every day, I work with people experiencing homelessness, addiction, and crisis situations. I help connect individuals to housing, treatment programs, resources, and support. When someone is overdosing, we step in and do everything we can to save lives. Personally, I call it God's work. My journey has taught me that your past does not have to define your future. I have lost many friends and loved ones to the streets, violence, addiction, and incarceration, but those losses continue to motivate me to make a difference in the lives of others. Pimpnpudding is more than a dessert company. It represents perseverance, redemption, second chances, and believing in yourself when nobody else does. Every cup of pudding I serve carries a piece of that story. If I can turn my life around, so can you. Remember this: Don't judge me by my mistakes. Judge me by how far I've come.
